Ava wanted to create something fun to encourage people to be active. The Rainbow Running Ruddocks keep you fit and generate clean energy at the same time. They are designed to be extra comfortable with memory foam soles to encourage more running and are bold and colourful.

"The Rainbow Running Ruddocks are memory foam shoes that are not just comfortable but when you run you can charge your battery in your shoe! You are getting fit, charging a battery and saving the planet at the same time! Your energy goes into your shoe and into your battery."

Ava developed her invention to make them waterproof for use in all weathers. She also thought about how the shoes could link up to exercise devices to encourage more walking. Great thinking Ava!

Using her Inventor's Log, Ava continued to think about her invention at home, exploring how it could develop for other users and creating a fantastic comic. We love the idea of The Rainbow Running Ruddocks shrunk to fit on cat paws!

Ava and graphic designer Sheryl Jenkins met over video call and Ava made some decisions on how the final make would look based on some initial ideas from Sheryl.
